Roles & Responsibilities
Regular sales visit to the assigned agents to ensure airline coverage is maximized.
Prepare Monthly sales call plan and Weekly Sales call Report.
Prepare Market Overview Sales report for the Principals.
Wherever applicable, visit Corporate and create awareness about the airline.
Analyze BSP reports / Airport Traffic reports and gather market intelligence which can be used for the benefit of the airline
Build and maintain relationship with staff members at all levels of the travel agency.
Identify corporate house with traffic on the relevant routes of the principal airline.
Evaluate and formulate corporate deals which are competitive so as to achieve desired results from the agency/corporate.
Respond to email queries, both internal and external, in a timely manner.
Ensure that the key accounts are updated with the Special fares/IT/Adhoc and other information on timely basis via e-mail.
Wherever applicable, review quarterly performance of the AIP agents with the top management of the travel agency to ensure that the targets are achieved, taking corrective actions if necessary.
Review monthly sales of travel agents with Sales Manager to ensure that business potential is being maximized.
Prepare and deliver airline product presentation to the travel trade.
Maintain email database (phone #, email address etc) of IATA / non IATA agents.
Analyze and share competitor activity on a regular basis to ensure fare competitiveness at all times.
Constant analysis of forward book-load and take appropriate marketing initiatives
Be the face of the Airline.
Be available outside of office hours to entertain principals or attend airline sponsored events.
Being an effective Team Player and working in tandem with Customer Services Team.
Follow the set guidelines with regard to Credit policy and be responsible for effective Credit control, working together with Sales Manager.
Continuously enhance Sales revenue for the airline through various business channels i.e. Travel Agencies, corporate, holiday packages, B2C, etc.
Increase earning by selling other auxiliary services (visa services, holiday packages etc.)
Meet with the agent’s regularly on productivity and meet the bottom line.
Desired Candidate Profile
Graduate and or Diploma preferably in Travel & Tourism / Management
Experience – Minimum of 2 years proven background managing experience ‘on-the-job’ within the travel Industry / consultancy. Comprehensive knowledge of GSA Operations. Sound knowledge towards airline sales, marketing and customer service.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills both verbal & written, which will enable him/her to deal with external and internal parties in a professional manner. Strong computing and presentation skills. Sound knowledge of relevant business and financial strategies
