Overview of the role
We are currently looking for Operation Manager for Procurement & Pricing of Ocean Freight Division in Al Futtaim Logistics. As the Operations Manager, you will oversee the entire operations and financial performance of the Freight and Relocation Department within Al Futtaim Logistics for KSA. You will manage the procurement of Ocean Freight and efficiently manage carrier contracts for major customers at periodical intervals. procurement of cross border and local transport from Local vendors. You will also attend and manage RFQs of Global Key Accounts and Partners’ RFQs requests.

What you will do

To manage procurement of Surface Transport and local services inquiries from market
To manage pricing to local market, Global Key Accounts and Partners. Closely collaborate with Commercial Team for a timely procurement and pricing of inquiries generated/received.
Handover new &/or revalidated converted businesses to respective Operations Manager for efficient planning/ implementation as per the terms agreed.
Handle global and local RFQ’s efficiently and drive the results.
Prepare work orders for transactional businesses and hand over to respective team lead.
Keep track of milestones achieved in procurement & pricing, with hit ratio.
Keep track of failures, with reasons for failures and feedback to source of query.

About the team
The role will report to the Operations Manager. You will be working in a dynamic and busy environment wherein you will be dealing directly with different Stakeholders across the organization.

Desired Candidate Profile
Required skills to be successful

Must have experience in procurement & pricing for special logistics, full and partial Charter movements, Out of Gauge, and projects.
Should be well-versed with Ocean Freight market intelligence, carrier relations and thoroughly knowledgeable about the ocean services to/from Middle East.
Proficiency in overall Ocean Freight, Cross Border and Local Services Management.
Thorough knowledge about GCC customs and border regulations, Freezones in UAE and neighboring markets.

What equips you for the role

Degree or Diploma preferably in Supply Chain or Logistics
At least 5-7 years in procurement in Ocean and land Freight Industry, preferably worked with leading MNC forwarders
Pricing / Ocean Freight Procurement / Tender management skills
Must have experience in procurement & pricing for special logistics, full and partial Charter movements, Out of Gauge, and projects.
Understanding to ATA Carnet processes, Exhibition Shipment clearances and special logistics
Should be well versed with Free Zone regulations, MOFAIC, customs processes and Incoterms
Should be able work under pressure & must be flexible in working hours.
