Roles & Responsibilities
Reporting to the Senior Events Safety Officer, the role holder is responsible and accountable for the development and implementation of the fire safety plan and fire risk assessment specific to event.
The role holder will support the Senior Event Safety officer and event safety management team to ensure compliance to fire safety arrangements for pre-event and event and decommissioning phases
The fire safety manager will ensure that all operating departments, service delivery providers, organisations, adhere to the guidelines, fire safety arrangements and Dubai Health & Safety Procedures and Assurance Standards.
The role holder must be familiar with building codes and international standards for fire safety, applicable legislations including but not limited to: UAE Labor law, UAE Fire Code etc.
The role holder will support the different pre event construction, events, and post event activities and will be expected to work a shift pattern which might includes weekends depending on the requirement of
Desired Candidate Profile
5+ years of experience in similar operational role, or major event and preferably within the UAE.
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in engineering or fire related disciplines
Professional fire and life safety certifications and/or accreditation from local and internationally recognized health and safety standards organizations
Familiarity with UAE Fire code, Construction and UAE federal laws is a must
Team management skills, presentation skills, risk management skills, project management skills, high attention to detail, communication skills
