Roles & Responsibilities
Purpose of Position: Will be responsible for various administrative duties related to the customs and transportation industry. Responsible for the correct execution of export / import delivery.
· Manage, monitor & control the entire Customs documentation activities for the Company.
· Allocate work to Team members and get done within the stipulated time.
· Provide Customs related reports to Management whenever required
· Co-ordinate with Sales, Logistics & Operations Departments for their queries related to customs and provide updated information.
· Take the responsibility to complete the job in the absence of any team member on leave.
· Able to handle any other Job requirements mentioned for Team members.
· Monitoring delivery time and preparation of required documents for speedy clearance upon arrival.
· Accurate custom duty calculation.
· Follow-up on documents at customs
· Co-ordinating timely delivery by transporter
· Take complete inventory / check of packages at the port
· Verify all information on customs for accuracy: description, content
· Receive and update consignment status in a timely manner; issue alerts
· Daily preparation of in and out gate pass for loaded containers &local & GCC deliveries
· Issuing correct transport / customs documentation (Invoice, Packing list etc)
· Timely invoicing internally and externally.
· Preparation of Import documents, export documents and bill of entry
· Logging non-conformities
· Send required documents to customs office for clearance
· Ensure E clearance is adequately handled.
· Follow-up for certificate of origin with the Dubai Chamber of Commerce.
Record and keep track in Excel sheet for all receiving numbers, invoices from customs broker, carriers, and agents.
Desired Candidate Profile
Knowledge and Experiencee
· Bachelor’s Degree
· 5 to 7 years’ experience in similar post
· Logistics, Customs and Shipping Knowledge
· Well versed in Online Customs Documentation / Clearances
· Well developed interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to liaise with suppliers and staff at all levels in both written and spoken English.
· Demonstrated experience in computer applications, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher), E-mail and Internet and databases.
· Ability to work under own initiative
· Knowledge of Safe Systems of Work and their implementation
· Level of interpersonal and customer relationship skill
· Should be well versed with Export-Import documentation, Clearings-Forwarding procedures and Shipping terms through E-MIRSAL and Dubai Trade Portal
· Valid UAE driving licence
· Willingness to be flexible and stretch hours of work.
· Dedicated, Self-motivated and Goal oriented.
· Good communications Skills, English, Hindi & Arabic
