Roles & Responsibilities
· Manage the preparation of the company’s budget
· Oversee the flow of cash and financial instruments
· Review financial data and prepare monthly and annual reports on a timely basis
· Provide financial reports and interpret financial information to management while recommending further courses of action
· Maintain the financial health of the organization
· Oversee operations of the finance department, set goals and objectives, and design a framework for these to be met
· Establish and maintain financial policies and procedures for the company
· Analyze costs, pricing, variable contributions, sales results and Ilium’s actual performance compared to the business plans
· Develop trends and projections for the firm’s finances
· Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities
· Contract outside services for tax preparation, auditing, banking, investments, and other financial needs as necessary
· Provide insightful information and expectations to management to aid in long-term and short-term decision making
· Present financial reports to board members, stakeholders, executives, and clients in formal meeting
· Produce long-term business plans
· Undertake research into pricing, competitors and factors affecting performance
· Collaborate with management on development and execution of funding strategies. Active involvement in researching avenues for bank facility and active in pursuing those leads
· Examine financial and legal documents to verify accuracy and adherence to financial regulations and acceptable financial principles
· Develop or recommend solutions for problems or situations
· Develop standard accounting procedures to improve financial operations efficiency
Desired Candidate Profile
· Candidate must be from Manufacturing / Construction / Engineering Industry.
· Proven experience as a Senior Accountant
· Experience in the manufacturing sector with previous possible roles in accounts department of SME
· Extensive understanding of financial trends both within the company and general market patterns
· Proficient user of finance software
· Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
· Able to manage, guide and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used
· A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles
· Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations
· BS/MA degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics
· Professional qualification such as CFA/CPA or similar will be considered a plus
