Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities
Provide nursing care and management to patients. As well as guide and direct junior nurses and nursing students to ensure that the best care is provided. Responsible for competently providing safe and effective care to patients and families.

Job Responsibilities

Establish and implements nursing guidelines by writing and updating policies and procedures to align with Qatar Health Practices and International Standards.

Plans and organizes orientation and in-service training for unit staff members, and participates in guidance and educational programs.

Ensure quality standards of the highest degree in nursing activities.

Coach new staff nurses and nursing students in their learning activities.

Deliver evidence-based care with various teams.

Develop care plans to allow patients and their family members and caregivers to participate in their own health management.

Guide junior nurses to develop specialized health education plans.

Manage admission, transfer and discharge of patients.

Manage emergency activities in medical emergencies.

Monitor error reports and develop strategies to improve patient safety practices.

Participate in clinical risk and quality improvements.

Partner with various teams to implement recommended quality improvement plans.

Recognise early signs of deterioration in patient’s conditions with physiological assessments.

Review clinical performance of nursing students and new nurses.

Use available benchmarks to review patient safety practices.

Desired Candidate Profile
• Knowledge in basic life support (BLS/ILS) and advanced cardiac life administration (ACLS).Knowledge of medical terminologies and conditions. Knowledge regarding quality improvement and standards of care within the practice area. Demonstrate sound work ethics Knowledge of ILO Standards, Principles, and Approached in Occupational Health Services. He/She is analytical. Organized and driven at work. Has good leadership skills and works well in a team.

• ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.

Experience :

Minimum 7 years of total experience. 5 years of industry-related experience. Minimum 2 years in GCC.

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing Professional Qualification in QCHP (Qatar Council for Healthcare Practitioners)
