To help this mission come to life, we are looking for an Digital Strategist to join our growing team of social strategist, practitioners, and community experts based in The Middle East, at our Riyad offices.
You are fluent in English and Arabic.
You will help support the overall vision of business and are responsible for the creation, management and implementation of day-to-day strategic initiatives across social media for local clients as well as regional, EMEA wide clients. You will partner with clients and creatives to bring brand platforms to life and engaging work to market, across all social channels and stages of the customer journey. You will be able to develop content plans, social channel strategies and plans as well as community management and social media activities.
Responsibilities and Expectations:
Articulates insights gleaned from social and conversational trends, artfully organizing information from observations to strategic implications and recommendations
Provide leadership for the account team, effective execution of digital campaigns and strategic counsel to clients
Develop social and digital strategies including driving the research direction and insights for the development of digital campaigns
Provide guidance on engagement and participation in evolving digital channels, identifying and evaluating new opportunities as they pertain to the client
Coordinate strategic development and implementation of campaigns regionally, across key markets in the Middle East
Contributing to the new business development process – from ideation to pitch presentation
Create communications plans and goals; manage against them
Serve as daily client contact and act as client lead when appropriate, address client issues thoughtfully and effectively
Successfully launch products and programs
Evaluate campaign results against objectives
Detailed-oriented, highly organized with the ability to manage multiple project deadlines efficiently
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to be effective in creating compelling content
Solid research, writing and editing skills
Flexible and agile and the ability to adapt to new conditions, assignments and deadlines
Be proactive and highly motivated; demonstrating the ability and desire to work independently and confidently, but also as part of a team
Be able to provide sound counsel to clients as well as be comfortable providing editorial and response recommendations to clients
Ability to delegate and accurately judge and edit the work of others
Be able to work collaboratively with all implementation teams to ensure that the brand’s communication objectives and strategies are met
Develop relationships with the community and industry contacts, they must also be able to foster relationships within the organization in order to surface the stories, priorities and information that will serve the community and the company well
Experience in client relations, including having the ability to understand and assess a client’s communication needs and meet those needs through successful social programs
Experience with budgeting and hourly rates

Qualifications:
5+ years of experience at a social or digital agency, integrated marketing, or communications firm
Fluent in Arabic and English
Understand the role that social and digital media plays in a client’s communication mix
Have a solid a sense of how social media tools work as well as the cadence of social media platforms especially the ones relevant in the Middle East
Familiarity with content management systems
Experience utilizing online listening tools and understand why online monitoring is important and be able to identify tools (paid and free) that can be used to identify relevant conversations and influencers
Be able to support online marketing and issues management campaigns
Basic understanding of social media reporting tools
Be able to provide sound counsel to clients as well as be comfortable providing editorial and response recommendations to clients
Solid grasp of Word of Mouth/ digital marketing, a strong social media footprint, and acute knowledge of emerging trends and technologies
Core understanding of brands and brand character a plus, and online campaign Previous community management experience, from managing a client’s social media presence to building a strong social media footprint
Have a solid understanding of online outreach and apply experience and initiative in developing appropriate online engagement strategies
Familiarity managing global social communities and experience with geo-targeting
Demonstrated track record of developing and executing creative, engaging and successful digital marketing and social media programs for clients
Experience in client relations including having the ability to understand and assess a client’s business needs and communication needs and meet those needs through successful digital and social programs
Community Management and Social Media Management experience
Some experience managing a team that executes digital and social programs
