Roles & Responsibilities
- Select, plan, specify, purchase, expedite and deliver materials to the project in a timely manner.
- Utilize and apply the SAMSS procedures pertaining to the allocation and purchase of materials including, the development of requisitions, purchase orders, surplus and excess materials usage, ‘non’ material requirements, spare parts and inspection requirements.
- Identify Long Lead Items and field material delivery dates.
- Develop Bid Review Programs and analyse alternatives, sub-vendors, life cycle costs, and delivery times to develop solid recommendations for the selection of material vendors.
- Be responsible for overall procurement management for all C1 projects including reviewing Project Procurement Plan.
- Liaise with Project Procurement Department representatives on all purchased materials.
- Be the focal point for vendors on vendor data, inspection, FAT and delivery.
