Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities
· Engineer Mechanical will be responsible for all the Maintenance Activities (Mechanical) .Should have

Exposure to Heavy Engineering Equipments like : Crushers, Ball Mills, Hammer Mill, Rotary dryers,

Screw Conveyors and Bucket Elevators, Belt conveyor, Pneumatic and Hydraulic Equipment, Bag house etc…

· Inspects correctness of Mechanical jobs such as fabrication, erection repairs and rigging on regular basis at project sites. Ensures qualitative & quantitative efficiency of the assigned personnel.

· Ensures proper working conditions and utilization of equipment and tools assigned for Mechanical project execution.

· Interprets and explains job descriptions, work instructions, standard operating instructions, etc. to subordinates to ensure they (subordinates) understand, accept, and carry out their respective duties efficiently.

· Discharges responsibilities effectively and exercises delegated authority in order to reduce referrals to higher authority and for smooth functioning of assigned project site

· Conducting inspection of materials received at stores or project site on time, reporting any discrepancies immediately to Purchase dept. for remedial action and collecting materials from Stores for performing assigned jobs.

· Recommends to Department Manager, project execution plans for mechanical jobs at assigned project site

· Must have thorough knowledge of erection, commissioning of cement plant, knowledge of cement manufacturing process, various maintenance like preventive and shut down maintenance etc

· Must be capable of running a shift independently.

· The person should be very amiable in behavior with commanding personality

· Should be able to takeup independent responsibility to achieve targets & adopt new technologies to stimulate higher output

· Repairing equipment

· Supervising engineering and technical staff

· obtaining specialist components, fixtures or fittings

· Managing budgets

· Maintaining statistical and financial records

· Ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation
