Job description
The Sales & Service Engineer acts as technical sales and solutions representative for the Company, conducts initial site assessments and inspections, assists in root cause analysis when required, develops technical solutions in partnership with customers and internal stakeholders, and manages the implementation of such solutions on site.


* This position can be located anywhere within Oman with the ability to travel.


* Ensures compliance for self and others regarding Company Target Zero safety philosophy
* Works together with management to technically support the preparation of new business opportunities as required
* Develops and maintains customer relationships
* Identifies opportunities and focuses on aftermarket growth through service/parts/upgrades
* Collects and evaluates field data
* Participates in field managed work, maintenance agreements, and business development with guidance from in-country managers
* Prepares first class visit reports after inspections/outages in proper and timely manner
* Reports any new opportunities observed and advises on most competitive technical solution
* Enhances Sales activities and Business Development with guidance from Business Developers and in-country managers
* Participates in proposal development
* Prepares engineering studies
* Interacts with customers, vendors, and sublet vendors
* Supports technical product training for customers
* Prepares technical reports including service and special reports
* Complies with Company code of conduct and ethics & compliance framework/training
* These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned
* Engineering degree of Mechanical Engineering from College or University
* Proven experience in a similar position
* Track record in the conventional Power Business (Fossil fired steam generators)
* Knowledgeable in the basics of operation/problems of steam generators and soot blowing systems
* Hands on type of person as well as familiar with office environment
* Technical problem solver
* Computer knowledge and mastery of common software packages for office work
* Willing to travel at short notice for the resolution of emergency issues as and when required
* Ability and willingness to travel extensively and be based on site for varying periods of time
