Roles & Responsibilities
- Maintain organized documentation, manuals, and reports to Submit daily history reports and ensure high-quality documentation.
- Report maintenance activities and issues to the supervisor or principal technician on a daily basis.
- Update the Client’s Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) with all completed work.
- Perform assigned daily tasks such as CM and PM checks, alarm and trip verifications, field calibration, and servicing of emergency shutdown and control valves.
- Coordinate with control room operators and field operators for tasks involving cleaning and servicing of field instruments, as well as replacement of old instruments with new ones.
- Ensure proper operation, maintenance, and functionality of the Oil LACT unit, Gas LACT unit, Water Metering unit, and Well Test Units (3-Phase Separator, MPFMs, Mobile Separator).
- Collaborate with the team to execute daily activities as per the planned schedule, which includes calibration, troubleshooting, corrective work, and preventive maintenance for various instruments and meters.
- Read and understand instrument drawings such as DCS (Distributed Control System) and PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) functional logic diagrams P&IDs, loop diagrams, termination details, and cause and effect diagrams, as well as documents like OEM manuals and calibration certificates.
- Work with and ensure correct configuration of flow computers such as OMNI and FloBoss.
- Calibrate, test, troubleshoot, and repair various instruments, control devices, and metering devices used in the oil and gas industry, including pneumatic, hydraulic, and electronic analog and digital devices.
- Perform regular safeguarding functionality tests, including ESD (Emergency Shutdown) valve stroking and function checks of fire and gas systems.
- Interpret OEM manuals, circuit diagrams, and logic functional diagrams to determine appropriate tests and maintenance procedures for instrument systems.
- Monitor critical instrument spare parts to ensure availability when needed and develop a master list capturing instrument issues and possible failure reasons, providing recommendations to overcome these issues.
- Review the asset registry and bill of materials for existing and new equipment.
