The job holder is responsible to manage end to end daily recruitment processes, enabling DHL to attract and retain the key talent to achieve business objectives and to meet the resourcing requirements for today and the future. To source candidates through innovative & cost-effective means, that strengthens DHL’s position as a preferred employer.

Human Resource Planning:
• To manage current and forecasted human resources requirements in line with the Recruitment Manager. To recruit the required number of employees, with the required skills, at the required time.
• Plan and maintain a pipeline of candidates to avoid extended vacancies in key roles. To ensure that business critical roles are filled in the least amount of time.
Recruitment Policies and Procedures:
• To ensure that employee selection and appointments are carried out in a structured and systematic way so as to meet HR policy, local legislation. Monitor and review regularly to ensure best practices are developed and productivity improvements made.
Quality of Recruitment Practices:
• To use selection methodology that enables DHL to test the candidate’s ability and match, such as structured interviews, assessment centres behavioural-based questions and psychometric tools. To alter the assessment requirements in line with the job modernization.
Reporting and Administration:
• Provide comprehensive reports to record recruitment activities, cost of recruitment and retention periods of new hires. Provide additional reporting as required by the Recruitment Manager. Manage CVs ensuring timely feedback of status of application to prospective candidates/employees. Prepare, send and manage contracts and other documents. Manage informal/formal networks to maximise opportunities.
Vacancies Advertisements / Notices:
• Plan and co-ordinate external/internal advertisements to target a suitable pool of candidates through appropriate channels, taking advantage of new technology where appropriate. To ensure advertisement aligns to the marketing brand positions and incorporates DHL’s values and benefits to position DHL as an employer of choice.
• In line with the HRE, manage the recruitment and advertising cost line to ensure it is within budget and where possible, look for cost saving initiatives.
• Co-ordination with other stakeholders in the HR team for visa process/C&B details for all new hires.
Position Descriptions:
• Assist in drafting position descriptions in line with the respective managers & supervisors, to understand job specifications for recruitment, after obtaining approval from the HR Manager / Area Office.
Work Placements, Internships, Sponsorships and Career Fairs:
• In conjunction with the functional managers gauge requirements on short-term work projects to assign work placement students & interns. Accordingly coordinate with educational institutions on the placements.
• Coordinate and participate in Career Fairs, as approved by the HR Manager/Recruitment Manager.
• Supporting the HR team on other ad-hoc projects.


• This role has a direct interface with the line managers and supervisors, and is responsible for providing a comprehensive HR service encompassing monitoring manpower requirements, recruitment and assessments. The coordinator will need to develop relationships with managers, staff and external providers to provide an effective service to both groups, to ensure objectives are met accordingly.
• Proactively maintain adequate candidates in the pipeline to ensure timely supply of the best applicants. Ensure that reference checks, security checks and Pre-Onboarding formalities are completed promptly for all selected applicants. Respond to short lead-times and negotiate earliest releases.
• The jobholder is expected to make decisions on shortlisting candidates for the company database after consideration of the skills and requirements of the job. The individual is also responsible for managing his/her work plan so as to ensure recruitment needs are actioned as per deadlines agreed.
• Responsible for managing their time and organising a work schedule so that approved recruitment needs are actioned within the time frame stipulated.
• The jobholder is expected to make decisions on shortlisting candidates for the company database after consideration of the skills and requirements of the job. The individual is also responsible for managing his/her work plan so as to ensure recruitment needs are actioned as per deadlines agreed.
• The job holder will need to juggle recruitment priorities to be able to meet the manpower demands of the various departments/entities to whom they are providing a service, thereby ensuring quality staff are placed in the right job at the right time.


• Must have at least 2 years’ experience in recruitment and selection.
• Management Degree Holder/Preferably Professional HR affiliations.
• Bilingual; English and Arabic
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• A good Listener and Excellent communicator (written, verbal, comprehension).
• Ability to build and manage relationships and agreements.
• Excellent Facilitation skills
• Attention to details.
• Assertive and able to influence with thoughtful decisions.
• Well organised and methodical (Good at planning and prioritising).
• Self-motivated and uses own initiative.
• Able to manage several tasks/issues under pressure (Have a keen sense of timing, patience and the ability to act quickly when required).
• Enthusiastic and committed.
• Excellent skills with MS office software – Excel, Word and PowerPoint in particular.
