Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- 3 years diploma in electrical engineering.
- Minimum 5 Years experience in Electrical maintenance and operation of different type of LV, MV and HV switchgears and Motor starters.
- Maintenance and operation of LV, MV and HV Transformers.
- Maintenance and operation of LV and MV Generators.
- Maintenance and operation of UPS.
- Meet training qualification requirement for 5.2, 5.3 and 5.5 policies.
- Obtain Facility Rep certification from all units and RMD.
- Isolation and Energization of all types of switchgears in company 1 and 2.
- Obtaining the Relieving instructions for the previous shift activities from the outgoing shift.
- Reviewing the last 24 hours logs for the update about the activities happened during the absence from the plant site.
- Participation in the unit Shift safety meetings.
- Performing POEFM activities only for electrical part (Preparation / Isolation / LOTO) in all units.
- Normalize equipment after PM and Breakdown (Clear MC) for purely electrical jobs.
- EPPS Update for purely electrical jobs.
- Writing Logbook & MTL update.
- Take Monthly energy readings from MEW INCOMER & OUTGOING and interface meters in Complex main substation.
- Fill the checklist electronically and save it.
- Carry out Quarterly Load Testing / Synchronizing Test for Admin Sub Emergency Diesel Generators.
- Fill the checklist electronically and save it.
- Carry out Weekly RUN Test of all emergency Diesel Generator.
- Fill the checklist electronically and save it.
- Emergency lights functional test in all substations (Admin, Complex Main, UT1, CCB, WW and New WW).
- Fill the final monthly power consumption report and send it to Electrical DAS.
- Checking the Expiry dates at Eyewash solution in all sub stations.
- HVAC PM jobs in Substations / RIEs / Analyzer Houses / UPS etc…
- Inspect and collect the expired / deficient Electrical PPE from Substations.
- Grounding and bonding cables/connections for static electricity control to be visually inspected to assure that the cables are not corroded, that cable strains are intact, and that clamps and connectors have adequate spring tension and contact points.
- ODR Tasks for Electrical System as identified in all units.
- Check transformer winding temperature /Oil temperature & Oil level.
- Check transformer breather desiccant color.
- Check for any leak around transformer.
- Note down the observation in the transformer checklist.
- Routine Round: Visit all Substations and Check the Annunciation Panel, Fire Protection System, Transformers, Switchgears, Relays, MCCs, Battery Chargers, Battery Banks, UPSs, RIE’s and HVAC’s for any abnormal alarms.
- Ensure PPE like flash suit and electrical rated gloves are available in good condition.
- Routine Round: Visit all UPSs and Check the Annunciation Panel, Fire Alarm Panel, Batteries, Battery Chargers, Inverters and AC Units.
- HRG testing in all substations.
- Check the HATHAWAY power disturbance recorder for any abnormality, and ensure that there is no paper jam in both disturbance recorder printers.
- SWP and MC preparation for all Electrical related jobs in all units.
- Clear the Master Card and close SWPs after maintenance activities.
- Signing of permits as Facility Rep in all the units.
- Preparation of Master Card for LOTO procedure in all units.
- Follow all ODR Task list in all units as identified by the unit Leader.
- Preparing of shift report and sending to all electrical team.
- Follow MTL task as per MTL call.
- Preparing of Service Request as and when find any abnormalities during ODR/MTL task.
- First layer troubleshooting of Electrical faults.
- Resetting of LV motors overload relay, tripped lighting circuits and tripped ELCB.
