Job Description
The role presents an opportunity to join the Audit Department as an Associate Director (Bahraini National Role).Primary responsibilities include:
• Establish clear positioning and clarity of the internal audit function through the internal audit charter
• Develop internal audit strategy that aligns with the Corporate Strategy to ensure adequate coverage of key business areas in all sectors which the company operates.
• Identify Audit Universe for each business area and develop audit programs to ensure key processes are adequately reviewed by Internal Audit.
• Identify and develop corrective actions / recommendations for any inadequacies, control weaknesses and/or risks reported and submit to Management for implementation.
• Examine and evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal control systems and procedures and ensure that they are adequate to protect and safeguard the Group’s assets, prevent fraud, waste, abuse and misappropriation of funds and resources.
The Successful Applicant
The ideal candidate will:
• Be Bahraini National and fluent in Arabic
• Have 3-5 years of experience within internal audit, ideally within IT audit
• Have prior experience working in audit at a bank or the big 4 + have CIA or CISA qualification (must have the qualification)
• Be able to demonstrate IT Audit knowledge in addition to the wider audit role
• Be hands-on, detail oriented & able to function in a lean environment
• Have strong communication skills
• Have excellent attention to detail
